Important Dates
· Friday, April 16th, 2010, team registration form is due, email to cridgedale@wsd1.org.

· Friday, April 16th, 2010, $725.00 is due, all cheques should be made out to “Sisler High School”, non refundable.
· Friday, April 23rd, 2010, team roster form is due, email to spartanhockey@wsd1.org.
· Monday, April 26th, 2010, schedule will be emailed & posted on www.whshl.com.
Player Information
· Players must be presently registered in Grade 9(S1) OR 10(S2) and must be between the ages of 14 & 15 years as of August 31st, 2009 (MHSAA rules).
· NO FEEDER SCHOOL PLAYERS, including goalies.
· All players must have a school insurance policy and/or Blue Cross coverage.
Tournament Information
· There will be an admission charge for parents ($4.00/game) and seniors/students($2.00/game) (no charge for players), there will also be a tournament pass available for $10.00. Coaches please inform all parents and students of the admission charges.
Tournament Format
· Teams will play a minimum of 3 games.
· All players must be ready to play fifteen minutes before game time.
· Warm-Up time will depend on time available, pucks will be supplied.
· All games will be 3 – 15 minute stop time periods with 2 – 15 minute periods back-to-back.
· The Mercy rule will be applied when a team is ahead by 5 goals at any time in the third period. If the difference between the score returns to 4 goals, stop time will be reinstated.
· Tie games (other than championship game) will be broken by a 5 minute, running time 3 on 3 period. Player changes can only be made on-the-fly. If the game is tied after 5 minutes of play, the game ends in a tie.
· In the championship game, a tie will be broken by a 5 minute running time 3 on 3 period. Player changes can only be made on-the-fly. If the game is tied after these 5 minutes, a shoot out will break the tie. Prior to the championship game each coach must declare 3 shooters on their game sheet. If the tie is not broken in the first 3 shooters, teams will select a new shooter (each team selects one shooter). The shoot out now becomes sudden death.
· The Home team will wear light colored jerseys. Coaches/managers are responsible for special arrangements regarding jerseys (i.e. team has only has one color jersey).
· Each team will line up on their respective blue line at the end of each game. At the end of each game, an award will be given to a selected player from each team.
· MVP awards will be issued in playoff games.
Rules
· All rules and regulations of the WHSHL will apply and will be strictly enforced.
· Any inappropriate conduct could result in school suspension. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to implement additional discipline.
· WHSHL officials will referee all games.
· Any complaints should be forwarded to one of the Tournament Directors.
· Suspensions will carry over to the player’s next season.
· Use of foul language, misconduct on/off the ice, and neglect of the facility will be reported to school administration for disciplinary action.
· All teams must have a teacher/staff supervisor at all games.
Special Tournament Rules
· Match penalty – Ejection from the tournament.
· Fighting major – Ejection from the tournament.
· 4 minors penalties in one game – game ejection.
· 3 stick infractions in one game – game ejection.
· 2 major penalties – Ejection from the tournament.
